Meet Gavino & Sarah Olvera

Nature has a power like nothing else. It has the ability to recharge us, to remind us where we come from, to reconnect us.  Somehow, when we’re out in nature, we can remember who we are and maybe even get a glimpse of why we’re here. 

 

Today's world is constantly pulling us away from nature. Between technology and the busyness of our day-to-day lives; it is evermore difficult to tap into the trees, the stars, the dirt, to replenish us. Many of us remember the magic of chasing fireflies or perfectly roasting a marshmallow, and wish to recreate that for our children; but packing all the camping gear and scheduling a real break can be difficult. 

 

With their two daughters, 18 chickens and one awesome Border Collie, Gavino & Sarah live in Northern Westchester, NY; but fell in love with nature and camping from time spent in Montana and Indiana. They created The Canvas Experience to make getting out in nature a whole lot easier, so it can be done more often and for any occasion. Whether it’s in your backyard or a nearby campground, they’ll bring all the gear, set it all up, and create an oasis for you to plug-in to the most abundant source of happiness we’ve all got – nature.
